About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, helping them achieve both academic and personal growth. You will maintain a structured and positive learning environment while supporting behaviour, engagement, and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality SEMH lessons tailored to the needs of each student.
- Create a supportive and structured environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to implement personalised strategies and interventions.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate lesson and student records, adhering to school policies.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development through targeted activities.
- Promote confidence, independence, and motivation in all learners.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or related needs is preferred.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons to suit individual learning needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student well-being and development.
