Salary: £460 – £650 per week

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task and continue their learning in line with set lesson plans. You will play a key role in maintaining a calm and productive classroom environment while supporting students across a variety of subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
  • Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and deliver instructions clearly and confidently.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and expectations.
  • Support students with their work and respond to general queries.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote a safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Confident, organised, and adaptable approach to work.
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.
