Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Location: York area
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Part Time and Full Time available
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are seeking a confident Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school in the York area.
About the School
This provision supports pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. The school promotes clear boundaries, structured routines and restorative approaches to behaviour management.
Responsibilities

Provide targeted behaviour support

De-escalate challenging situations

Implement behaviour intervention strategies

Support pupils in accessing the curriculum

Requirements

Experience working with challenging behaviour

Strong de-escalation techniques

Resilient and proactive attitude

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
