Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are excited to appoint a passionate History Teacher for schools in the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.

As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop critical thinking, analysis, and a deeper understanding of the world through history.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Encourage analytical thinking, discussion, and debate among pupils.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Support school trips, events, and enrichment activities related to history.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a History Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for new one.
