Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are hiring a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons in schools across Barnsley, particularly within the S70 and S71 areas.

As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will teach a broad curriculum including programming, algorithms, data representation, and cybersecurity, helping pupils develop both technical expertise and logical thinking.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons as a Computer Science Teacher.
  • Teach programming languages and core computing principles.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary.
  • Support pupils in developing digital literacy and safe online practices.

Requirements of Computer Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and student engagement.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
