Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are inviting applications for a passionate Art Teacher to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The Art Teacher will deliver practical and creative lessons that develop students’ skills, imagination, and confidence.

Responsibilities of Art Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the art curriculum.
  • Encourage experimentation with different materials and artistic techniques.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment and high standards of behaviour.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience teaching art in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
