Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a skilled Design Technology Teacher to join a school in Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering engaging lessons that develop technical knowledge, creativity, and hands-on skills.
In this role, the Design Technology Teacher (DT) will guide learners through the design process, from concept to creation, encouraging innovation and safe workshop practice within a structured learning environment.
The role in focus:
- Plan and deliver well-structured Design Technology lessons
- Teach practical skills using a range of materials and tools as Design Technology Teacher.
- Promote creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
- Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
What we’re seeking:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting
- Strong classroom and workshop management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
