Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher who can inspire students to explore the world around them?

GSL Education are seeking a skilled Geography Teacher to deliver engaging and informative lessons across schools in Sheffield (S2, S3), supporting students’ learning and development across key stages.

As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver stimulating lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and an understanding of physical and human geography. You will help students develop map skills, research abilities, and an appreciation for environmental and global issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Teach topics including physical, human, and environmental geography
  • Prepare students for assessments and examinations
  • Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities
  • Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour
  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student progress
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the department
  • Support extra-curricular Geography activities or clubs where applicable

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Geography in schools is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
