Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher passionate about making the past engaging and relevant for students?
GSL Education are looking for a committed History Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Sheffield (S2, S3) with an immediate start.
As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students explore historical events, develop critical thinking and analytical skills, and build informed perspectives on the past.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach a broad range of historical topics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support departmental goals and whole-school initiatives.
- Promote critical thinking, debate, and independent enquiry among students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, participation, and classroom engagement.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
History Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in History.
- Experience teaching History in UK schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
