Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you an enthusiastic and driven PE Teacher with a passion for promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles?

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join a supportive and well-established school in Sheffield (S2, S3) with an immediate start.

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that enhance students’ physical abilities, confidence, and understanding of health and fitness. This opportunity offers both day-to-day supply and long-term placements, making it ideal for teachers who are dedicated to inspiring students through sport and physical education.

Responsibilities of a Physical Education (PE) Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Teach a variety of sports, physical activities, and fitness programmes.
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
  • Ensure safe practice and the correct use of equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor and assess students’ performance, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, participation, and engagement.
  • Support extracurricular sports activities and coordinate school competitions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Experience teaching PE in UK schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom and activity management skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
