Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you an innovative and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher with a passion for developing students’ digital literacy and computational thinking?
GSL Education are currently seeking a committed Computer Science Teacher to join a supportive and well-equipped school in Sheffield (S2, S3).
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that strengthen students’ understanding of programming, algorithms, and digital systems. This opportunity offers both day-to-day supply and long-term placements, making it ideal for teachers who are motivated to inspire the next generation of technology professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach key topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and computer systems across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Promote logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital creativity among students.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Guide students in developing safe, ethical, and responsible digital practices.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to departmental goals and whole-school initiatives.
What we need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Computer Science in UK secondary schools is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science or related fields.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
