Job Title: MFL Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher with a passion for inspiring students to explore languages and cultures?

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a supportive and progressive school in Sheffield (S2, S3).

As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that build students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a modern foreign language. This opportunity offers both day-to-day supply and long-term placements, making it ideal for teachers who are eager to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the classroom.

Main Responsibilities of a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality MFL lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Teach one or more modern foreign languages across key stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Promote the development of students’ communication skills and cultural understanding.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to departmental objectives and whole-school initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Foster active participation and build students’ confidence in language learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more modern foreign languages (Spanish, German, French etc.).
  • Experience teaching MFL in UK schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
