Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate English Teacher to join supportive schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that strengthen literacy skills, critical thinking, and confident communication across Key Stages.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the English curriculum.
  • Support students in developing reading comprehension and analytical skills.
  • Guide learners to improve their written accuracy and creativity.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic progress as English Teacher.
  • Assess work regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback.

Requirements of English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
