Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you an enthusiastic and talented Design & Technology Teacher with a passion for practical learning and innovation?
GSL Education arecurrently seeking a committed Design & Technology Teacher (DT Teacher) to join a supportive and progressive school in Sheffield (S2, S3).
As a Design & Technology Teacher,you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that nurture students’ creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills across a variety of DT specialisms. This opportunity offers both day-to-day supply and long-term placements, making it ideal for teachers who thrive in hands-on classroom environments and enjoy inspiring the next generation of designers and innovators.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Design & Technology lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Teach across key DT specialisms, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Graphics.
- Encourage and develop students’ practical, technical, and creative abilities.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to departmental goals and whole-school development.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed workshop or classroom environment at all times.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour, participation, and classroom engagement.
DT Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology.
- Experience teaching DT in UK schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom and workshop management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
