Pay rate: £90-£120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are hiring a dedicated Sports Coach to work within a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in Middlesbrough.
As a Sports Coach in a PRU, you will use sport and physical activity as powerful tools to re-engage pupils with education, promote positive behaviour, and build confidence and resilience.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging sports sessions tailored to pupils in a PRU setting.
- Use sport to promote teamwork, self-discipline, and emotional regulation.
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Build positive, professional relationships with pupils who may present challenging behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to support pupils’ overall development.
Requirements of Sports Coach:
- Experience working with young people, ideally within alternative provision or similar settings.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Relevant sports coaching qualification or experience.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
