Pay rate: £100-£130 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are pleased to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Middlesbrough. A PRU is a specialist school setting that supports pupils who are unable to attend mainstream education due to behavioural or additional needs.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and provide consistent support to pupils within this alternative provision setting.
Key Duties:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence using provided lesson plans.
- Maintain clear boundaries and apply behaviour policies consistently.
- Build positive, professional relationships with pupils.
- Support pupils in staying focused and engaged with their learning.
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams within the PRU.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar school-based role.
- Confidence managing behaviour in a specialist setting.
- Calm, resilient, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
