Pay rate: £90-£120 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are recruiting for a committed Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support professional to work within a PRU unit based inside a school in Hartlepool. This role involves supporting students with additional needs, including SEMH and behavioural challenges, within a specialist provision that operates as part of the wider school community.

Main Responsibilities of SEN support:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support within the PRU unit.
  • Assist students in managing behaviour and engaging positively with learning.
  • Support emotional regulation and social development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to adapt resources and lesson activities.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and follow school policies at all times.

Requirements of SEN support:

  • Experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs.
  • Previous experience in a PRU or alternative provision setting is desirable.
  • Calm, resilient, and patient approach.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
