Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistants
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type: Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

Do you feel committed to supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) so they can succeed in school?

GSL Education are looking for resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants (TAs) to work in schools in Dinnington (S25), providing consistent support to pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance. As Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistants (SEMH TA), you will help pupils manage their emotions, engage with learning, and build positive relationships within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities of SEMH Teaching Assistants:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support as SEMH Teaching Assistants.
  • Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Support pupils to stay focused and engaged in lessons.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams.

Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistants:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
