Job Title: Pastoral Lead
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are inviting applications for a compassionate Pastoral Lead to join schools in Sheffield, covering the S5 and S9 areas. In this role, the Pastoral Lead will guide students, provide emotional and behavioural support, and work closely with staff and families to promote a positive school culture.

Main Responsibilities of Pastoral Lead:

  • Provide pastoral support to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing, and implement support strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and external agencies to support student development.
  • Lead initiatives that promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and student engagement.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and ensure a safe environment for all students.

Requirements of Pastoral Lead:

  • Experience working in a pastoral or student support role within a school setting.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead initiatives and work collaboratively with staff and external partners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
