Sports Coach (Mainstream School)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £95 - 130 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time
A vibrant and forward-thinking mainstream school in Newcastle are looking to appoint an energetic and motivated Sports Coach to join their supportive team. This Sports Coach role will focus on promoting physical activity, teamwork, and positive behaviour across the school, while supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom.
The successful Sports Coach will play an important role in delivering high-quality PE sessions, encouraging participation in sport, and acting as a positive role model for pupils. If you have previous experience working as a Sports Coach in a school or youth setting, this could be an excellent opportunity to further develop your career.
Key Responsibilities of the Sports Coach:

Deliver engaging PE lessons and structured sports sessions.

Support pupils in developing teamwork, resilience, and confidence through sport.

Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across all activities.

Assist with extracurricular clubs and school sporting events.

Support classroom teachers where required.

Encourage participation and healthy lifestyles throughout the school.

Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements for the Sports Coach:

Previous experience working as a Sports Coach or in a similar role within education or youth settings.

Ability to manage behaviour effectively and positively.

Strong communication and motivational skills.

A passion for sport, physical education, and pupil development.

Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Right to work in the UK.
