About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that develop students’ knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of the world around them. You will create a positive and structured learning environment that motivates students and supports academic achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons for students of varying abilities.
- Support students’ learning, progress, and engagement through effective teaching strategies.
- Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Adapt lessons and resources to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and develop resources.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment, attendance, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3/4 is preferred.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students in learning.
- Adaptable and creative approach to lesson planning and delivery.
