A school in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to manage classrooms, deliver pre-planned lessons, and ensure students remain engaged and motivated in the absence of the regular teacher.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes, implement lesson plans, and maintain a positive and productive learning environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a professional school setting and make a tangible impact on student learning.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes in the absence of teachers and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and support student learning.
• Maintain classroom behaviour according to school policies.
• Monitor and support students’ progress, engagement, and safety.
• Assist teaching staff with administrative tasks as required.
• Provide feedback to teachers on lesson delivery, student behaviour, and outcomes.
• Adapt to different year groups, subjects, and classroom environments as needed.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in schools, teaching, or classroom support is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching situations and student needs.
• A professional, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
