Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work directly with students to provide targeted support, assist with learning activities, and help implement personalised plans that meet individual needs. You will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of students.
Responsibilities:
• Support students in accessing learning activities and achieving learning outcomes.
• Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour plans.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Assist with personal care, eating, and hygiene as required, maintaining dignity and respect.
• Use effective communication strategies to encourage participation and confidence.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Understanding of special educational needs and evidence-based support strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
• A compassionate, patient, and dedicated approach to supporting students.
