Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Manchester for an experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant with a strong SEN background.

This is a full-time role supporting students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs. The school is looking for a confident, proactive TA who can provide consistent classroom support and targeted interventions.

The Role:

• Supporting students with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and MLD

• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions

• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning strategies

• Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation

• Helping to implement EHCP targets

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a TA in a secondary school

• Strong SEN experience (essential)

• Confident supporting challenging behaviour where required

• A patient, resilient and proactive approach

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
