Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 - £650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Support continuity in learning and help maintain a focused classroom environment during teacher absences!

GSL Education are currently recruiting a proactive Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Sheffield, covering the S2 and S3 areas. The Cover Supervisor (CS) will oversee pre-planned lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and on task throughout the school day.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes using work set by the class teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Provide clear instructions and maintain a calm learning atmosphere.
  • Record attendance and report any concerns to senior staff.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting as Cover Supervisor.
  • Confidence leading a classroom independently.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
