GSL Education are currently working with a forward-thinking specialist SEN provision in Camden that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant!! This provision supports secondary-aged students with SEMH needs, Autism (ASC) and behavioural challenges. The setting focuses heavily on structure, routine and therapeutic support, helping students re-engage with education in a calm and consistent environment. Role Details:
- Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Camden
- Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
- Contract: Full-time | Long-term
- Start Date: ASAP
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
- Help create a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Has experience in an SEN school, PRU or alternative provision
- Is confident supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
Compliance Requirements:
- A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
- References covering your past two years of employment or education
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Proof of national insurance
- Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
- Qualification documents.
