GSL Education are currently working with a forward-thinking specialist SEN provision in Camden that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant!!

This provision supports secondary-aged students with SEMH needs, Autism (ASC) and behavioural challenges. The setting focuses heavily on structure, routine and therapeutic support, helping students re-engage with education in a calm and consistent environment.                                  

Role Details:

  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Camden
  • Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Full-time | Long-term
  • Start Date: ASAP

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  •            Provide 1:1 and small group support
  •            Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  •            Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation
  •            Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
  •            Help create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  •            Has experience in an SEN school, PRU or alternative provision
  •            Is confident supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
  •            A calm, patient and resilient approach
  •            A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  •            An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)

Compliance Requirements:

  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
  • References covering your past two years of employment or education
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Proof of national insurance
  • Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
  • Qualification documents.
