Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Gateshead
Pay rate: £100 - £130 Per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you confident in managing a classroom and supporting pupils’ learning in the absence of their regular teacher?
GSL Education are appointing a committed Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Gateshead, ensuring lessons run smoothly and pupils remain focused and engaged.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee pre-set lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and support classroom management effectively.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise lessons and maintain order.
- Ensure pupils complete the work set by the class teacher.
- Support classroom behaviour management and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff as a Cover Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A confident, adaptable, and professional approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
