Job Title: Caretaker
Location: Darlington
Pay rate: £13 -£17 per hour (Depending on experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join a school in Darlington, ensuring the premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained for staff, students, and visitors.
As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the school, carrying out maintenance tasks, and ensuring a safe and secure environment every day.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of school facilities.
- Ensure the school premises are safe, clean, and well-presented always.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems.
- Support the smooth running of daily operations as a Caretaker.
Requirements:
- Experience in maintenance, janitorial, or facilities management roles.
- A proactive, reliable, and practical approach.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
