About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons and interventions to meet the unique needs of your students. You will create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement, emotional development, and academic progress, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging SEMH-focused lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development in line with personalised learning strategies.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with staff and external professionals to implement effective support strategies.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and motivation among students.
- Adapt teaching approaches and resources to suit different learning styles and needs.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with SEMH or similar needs is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan differentiated lessons and adapt to individual student needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students’ well-being and development.
