Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are hiring caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wakefield (WF4), providing personalised support to pupils who require extra guidance in the classroom.

As Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SEN teams to ensure pupils feel supported, confident, and engaged in their learning.

Key Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support as SEN Teaching Assistants
  • Assist pupils with learning, communication, and emotional needs.
  • Support classroom activities and help pupils follow individual learning plans.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and parents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
