Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to help them thrive academically and personally.

GSL Education are excited to appoint a resilient SEMH Teacher for a school in the WF4 area of Wakefield.

As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons, implement positive behaviour strategies, and create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons designed for pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Use behaviour management and emotional support strategies effectively.
  • Maintain a calm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a SEMH Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
