Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Help pupils achieve their potential by promoting positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing.
GSL Education are pleased to recruit dedicated Behaviour Support Staff for a school in the WF4 area of Wakefield.
As Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with pupils to manage behaviour, provide guidance, and encourage a safe and supportive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with behaviour and emotional needs in the classroom and around school.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to support pupils’ progress.
- Monitor and report on pupil behaviour and engagement.
- Encourage positive relationships and promote inclusion.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as Behaviour Support Staff or in a similar role.
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
