Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Middlesbrough
Job Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Salary: £120 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

A rewarding role is now available in Middlesbrough, where GSL Education are seeking a committed, compassionate, and skilled special educational needs (SEN) Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive school community dedicated to supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities of Teacher of SEN:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN
- Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) alongside support staff and families
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies to ensure holistic support
- Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment
Requirements for Teacher of SEN:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or a genuine passion for SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
