Support Pupils in Middlesbrough as an SEN Support Worker – Make a Lasting Difference
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic individuals to provide meaningful support to students with a variety of special educational needs (SEN). This is a rewarding role where your dedication and encouragement can help pupils grow in confidence both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
As an SEN Support Worker, you’ll work closely with teaching teams and SEN professionals to provide individualised support for pupils who may require additional help to access learning. You’ll play an important part in creating an inclusive, nurturing environment where every pupil feels safe and supported.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Support Worker:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist in delivering tailored learning and behaviour strategies
- Promote an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
- Record and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
Requirements for SEN Support Worker:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, MLD, PMLD, sensory needs)
- Strong communication, patience, and adaptability
- Ability to build positive working relationships with pupils
- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
