GSL Education is seeking a passionate Teacher of English for a small alternative provision, from Easter 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference for students in a small, supportive learning environment.

The school provides tailored education for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With small class sizes and a focus on individual progress, they aim to help every student achieve their potential academically and personally.

English Teacher Details:

  • Start Date: Easter 2026
  • Subject: English (up to GCSE level)
  • Class Sizes: Small groups of up to 4 students
  • Specialist Requirement: Experience teaching SEMH groups

English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential in GCSE English.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to students and staff.

As the Ideal English Teacher, you should have:

  • Qualified teacher with experience teaching English to GCSE level.
  • Proven experience working with SEMH students.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting student success.
