Keep Our Schools Running Smoothly – Become a Dedicated Caretaker in Newcastle!
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £13 - £17 per hour (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Caretaker to support a welcoming school environment in Newcastle. If you take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning spaces, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.
Your Role as Caretaker:
- Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general DIY tasks around the school.
- Ensure the site is clean, secure, and well-presented always.
- Open and lock the school building when required.
- Monitor health and safety standards, reporting issues promptly.
- Support with setting up equipment and rooms for school events.
- Maintain outdoor spaces, including basic groundskeeping duties.
What You’ll Need as Caretaker:
- Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role.
- Strong practical skills and confidence in basic repairs.
- Good communication, reliability, and the ability to work independently.
- A positive attitude and commitment to creating a safe school environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures (desirable).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
