Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockton
Salary Range: £90 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time

A rewarding opportunity is available for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work within a warm and inclusive Stockton school. GSL Education are seeking individuals who are passionate about helping children with additional needs progress both academically and emotionally. This role offers a competitive daily rate of £90 – £115, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs.
  • Assist teachers and SENCOs in delivering personalised learning plans.
  • Promote full inclusion within classroom settings and learning activities.
  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, communication, and independence.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, calm, and positive learning environment.
  • Prepare teaching resources and assist with classroom routines.

Job Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Experience supporting children or young people with.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive practices and differentiated support.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build trust.
  • Adaptability when responding to a range of learning and emotional needs.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
