Salary: £90 – £115 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a patient, dedicated, and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school community in Newcastle. If you’re passionate about helping children with special educational needs thrive—this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of additional needs.
- Assist with implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to deliver targeted support.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.
What You’ll Need as an SEN TA:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care settings).
- Strong communication, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to build positive relationships and adapt to individual needs.
- Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
- A proactive attitude and commitment to helping learners succeed.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
