GSL Education are searching for a passionate Teacher of English to join a vibrant Middlesbrough school. This isn’t just about grammar and essays—it’s about sparking imagination, igniting critical thinking, and helping students discover the joy and power of the written and spoken word.
What You’ll Do as an English Teacher:
- Design engaging lessons that bring literature and language to life.
- Teach everything from classic poetry to modern texts with flair.
- Help students sharpen their reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Create a supportive, inclusive classroom where every voice is heard.
- Encourage creativity through debates, storytelling, and enriching projects.
- Contribute fresh ideas to the English curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English in schools.
- A passion for literature and a talent for motivating learners.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
