Geography Teacher

Location: Selby
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Selby.

About the School

The school promotes broad curriculum knowledge and encourages pupils to understand global issues and environmental awareness. The Humanities team works collaboratively to support pupil progress.

Geography Teacher Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations

  • Assess attainment and support progress

  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Requirements

  • QTS with Geography specialism

  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school

  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
