Location: Selby
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: February 2026
GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Selby area. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can inspire a love of literature and language across KS3 and KS4.

English Teacher Responsibilities

Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

Prepare pupils for GCSE examinations

Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

Maintain high expectations for behaviour and attainment
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
