Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a creative and skilled Design Technology Teacher looking to inspire innovation and practical learning?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield (S11).
As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering practical and theory-based lessons in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering. You will encourage students to develop technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities while ensuring a safe and structured workshop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5
- Teach practical and theory elements in line with the national curriculum
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and coursework assessments
- Maintain a safe working environment in workshops and practical settings
- Differentiate lessons to support learners of varying abilities
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design Technology or a related subject
- Experience as a Design Technology Teacher is desirable
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
