Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher ready to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists?
GSL Education are seeking a committed Science Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield (S11), delivering high-quality lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and practical lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, supporting students to develop strong scientific understanding and critical thinking skills. You will plan lessons in line with the national curriculum and prepare students for assessments and GCSE examinations.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across key stages 3, 4 and 5
- Teach general Science, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive behaviour
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related subject
- Experience as a Science Teacher is desirable
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
