Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you confident leading a classroom and looking to gain valuable experience in schools?
GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Sheffield (S11), delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step into the classroom in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their work and follow school behaviour policies. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking for flexible opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and key stages
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Support students with their learning where necessary
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Requirements:
- A degree or relevant experience working with young people
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confidence in leading groups of students independently
- Adaptability and the ability to work across different subjects
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
