Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Encourage students to be active, develop skills, and enjoy sport in a positive and supportive environment.
GSL Education are hiring a Sports Coach to work with schools in the Barnsley (S70, S71) area, delivering engaging sessions that build confidence, teamwork, and physical fitness.
In this role, the Sports Coach will lead practical activities, support pupils in developing technique, and promote a healthy, active lifestyle across a range of sports.
Key Duties:
- Plan and deliver sports sessions suitable for different ages and abilities.
- Encourage teamwork, resilience, and fair play as Sports Coach.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive guidance to pupils.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support wider school sports programmes.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience coaching or working with children in a sporting environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to inspire pupils and promote engagement in sport.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
