Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are inviting applications for a dedicated Geography Teacher to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The Geography Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that develop map skills, critical thinking, and an awareness of global and local issues.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the geography curriculum.
  • Encourage enquiry, investigation, and independent learning.
  • Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere and high standards of behaviour.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives.

Requirements of Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience teaching geography in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
