About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth running of classrooms in the absence of teaching staff. You will supervise learning, manage behaviour effectively, and support students’ engagement and progression. This role is key to maintaining consistency and high standards across the school.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students remain on task
• Deliver planned activities and support students in completing tasks
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment
• Monitor student engagement and provide feedback to teachers
• Support the implementation of school policies and procedures
• Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance and record-keeping
• Adapt to different classroom settings and student needs effectively
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a classroom environment is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage student behaviour confidently and effectively
• Organised, reliable, and adaptable to changing classroom needs
• A positive and professional approach to supporting students’ learning
