About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages, fostering a love for literature and language while ensuring strong academic progress. You will play a key role in preparing students for assessments and examinations, maintaining high standards of teaching and classroom management.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations and internal assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practice.
• Promote strong literacy skills across reading, writing, and spoken language.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level is preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
