Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are hiring a Science Teacher to join schools in the Sheffield (S5, S9) area, delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ understanding, practical skills, and critical thinking.

In this role, the Science Teacher will plan and deliver structured lessons across the science curriculum, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive.

Responsibilities of Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured science lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Encourage practical investigations, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a focused classroom atmosphere.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school teaching and learning objectives.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
